We, the undersigned, call on immigration authorities to conduct a fair and thorough review of the case of Duferson "Duffy" Augustin.
Duffy is a 34-year-old Haitian-born man who has built his life in the United States through hard work, community involvement, and full compliance with the immigration process. He is a dedicated employee who never misses a day of work, a loving fiancé, and a valued member of his community.
On June 9, 2026, Duffy voluntarily reported to a routine ICE check-in in Miramar, Florida — as required. He was unexpectedly detained, just weeks before his planned wedding on June 28, 2026.
Duffy is not considered a danger to the community. He has demonstrated respect for the law throughout his immigration proceedings. His detention has caused significant hardship to his fiancée, family, employer, and the many people who depend on him.
