"He is hardworking, dependable, and deeply committed to the people he loves."
— Gerry Charles, Co-Worker
Duferson "Duffy" Augustin is a 34-year-old man originally from Haiti who came to the United States in 2007 — nearly two decades ago. He has spent the majority of his life here, building a stable life around family, hard work, and community. He is a loving fiancé to Walbyana Etienne, a dedicated family member, and a valued friend to many who know him.
For years, Duffy complied fully with the immigration process — attending every required ICE appointment and check-in without fail. On June 9, 2026, he reported to a routine check-in at the Miami ICE-ERO office in Miramar, Florida. Despite his compliance, he was unexpectedly detained.
Duffy is not considered a danger to the community. He has done everything right — and yet he now sits in a detention facility, separated from his fiancée and family, just weeks before his planned wedding on June 28, 2026.
Every dollar goes directly to Duffy's legal defense. No overhead. No delays. Just justice.
Duffy shows up for everyone around him — at work, in the neighborhood, for his family. He attended every single ICE check-in they asked of him. Detaining him like this is not justice.
Walbyana and Duffy were supposed to get married this month. Instead she is fighting to bring him home. This community will not stop until he is free.
I have known Duferson for years. He is kind, hardworking, and honest. He is not a danger to anyone. He deserves due process and he deserves to be with his family.
Real moments from Duffy's life — the family and community he is fighting to return to
His fiancée, family, and community are counting on you. Every contribution — no matter the size — brings Duffy one step closer to home.
